The role of the City Clerk is established in the City of Beacon Charter § C-4.04. The Clerk receives all official records of the City, records ordinances, issues licenses, etc. City of Beacon Municipal Center.

DOG OWNERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR CLEANING UP AFTER THEIR DOG. NEGLECTING TO CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR DOG ON PUBLIC PROPERTY IS A VIOLATION OF THE CITY CODE:
“If any dog shall defecate upon public property, the owner or keeper of the dog must immediately clean up the feces and make proper disposition of it so as not to endanger the health and safety of the public.”
DUE TO GROWING HEALTH AND SAFETY CONCERNS, THE FOLLOWING CHANGES HAVE BEEN IMPLEMENTED IN THE CITY CLERK’S OFFICE, EFFECTIVE MARCH 23, 2020.

We will only be accepting requests for certified copies of birth, death, and marriage certificates by mail. The applications can be found here and should be submitted with a copy of your photo ID and a money order for $10.00/copy and a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
Dog licenses that were to expire in March or April will have their expiration dates extended until the end of May with no penalties or late fees. Leash laws and rabies vaccinations must be followed at all times. Those found not following these laws will be fined accordingly. These fines are increased should your dog be unlicensed at the time of the offense.
While we will continue to be reachable for all dog related matters the dog wardens will only be physically responding to running at large incidents or any other urgent matter.

Thank you for your patience during this extraordinary time. Motor vehicle accident reports can be obtained directly from the Police Department, with this form.
