The 8th annual Newburgh-to-Beacon Hudson River swim takes place this year on Saturday, August 6, 2011. This event provides a unique opportunity to swim about a mile across the Hudson River while raising money to benefit the River Pool at Beacon. Experienced swimmers of all ages come from near and far to participate in this annual swim. Watch from the start at the docks off the Torches restaurant in Newburgh or welcome swimmers as they finish at the Beacon waterfront. It's a great day to celebrate how far the river has come and to be a part of the vision of an even cleaner and safer future.
Chech in: 10am - 12 noon
Splash-off: 1pm on the Newburgh waterfront — finishing at the Beacon waterfront until about 2pm.
