Highlights of the 2011 holiday festivities in Beacon:
Thursday Candlelight Shopping
Thursday Candlelight Shopping until 9pm in December. Dia:Beacon has extended its hours and is open on Thursdays until the end of year.
Holiday Parade of Gifts
On Saturday, December 3rd, parade down Main Street from the Howland Center, 477 Main Street, to the Welcome Center. For the kids: singing with Santa, grab bag gifts, popcorn and more.
December Second Saturday
On Saturday, December 10th, galleries and shops are open late. Check out the recycled bicycle Christmas Tree sculpture on the west end of Main – come celebrate and sing-along when we light it up!
Tree Lighting
Check back for time and date. The Beacon Recreation annual holiday celebration at Lewis Tompkins Hose Firehouse across from City Hall. Celebrate the start of the holiday season with music, treats, and free raffles. Crafts for the kids and a chance to visit with Santa. Tree lighting at dusk.
