The Spirit of Beacon Day Parade is Beacon's signature event. Most everybody marches in the parade but you can just hang out and watch, applaud, and snack.

There will be floats and costumes inspired by the theme for 2009: The Quadricentennial. There will be marching bands, fire trucks, and representatives from many schools and organizations in Beacon.

When:  Sunday, October 4, 2009
             12 noon - 4 pm — Parade begins at 1 pm.
Where: On Main Street from Wolcott Avenue (Rt. 9D) to Tioronda Avenue.
             Booths and stages will be set up all along the parade route
