Office of the Mayor

The mayor is the chief executive officer for the city government and represents the city at functions. Subject to city council approval, the mayor appoints all city employees, department heads, administrative officers,  and various committee members.

    The Mayor will be holding a roundtable discussion with representatives of city departments, boards, commissions, planners, engineers and the full city council. In view of the numerous developments proposed throughout the city the purpose of the roundtable is to give all city organizations the opportunity to identify challenges that affect their areas and to identify how these challenges may interconnect with each organization. The roundtable is open to the public and will be held Monday May 24th 7:00 PM at the Tompkins Hose Firehouse. View all past events
