Finance Department

The Finance Department is responsible for the management and disbursement of all city revenues and other assets. The department reconciles the general ledger and bank accounts, handles all accounts payable, and provides information on the city’s financial position as requested.

The department also prepares various financial reports—the City of Beacon budget, the New York State Annual Update Document, a New York State Multi-Year Planning Report, and a Constitutional Tax Limit Report. The department also assists in the annual audit of the financial statements by an independent firm.
